Welcome to RYAA's home on the web!
This is the place to be for youth sports in Rochester, Illinois!
Sorry New Yorkers, you are probably on the wrong site....

Welcome to! We have sports programs to support the youth of Rochester, Illinois, including baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.  Our seasons run almost all year-long, so there should always be something available to get your kids up and moving!  Please check out our programs, and register your family using the "New Member" link on the right to be added to our system to make registering fast and easy!

There’s no doubt that we are living in uncertain and unprecedented times. We’ve all been uncertain what the future brings from month to month in trying to prevent the spread of the virus COVID-19.

With that in mind, RYAA has decided it’s in everyone’s best interest to take some uncertainty off the table. We have elected to cancel our baseball, softball and teeball programs for summer of 2020. We are refunding everyone’s payments right away and you should expect to see them within 8-10 business days.

This was definitely not a decision we took lightly, we debated option after option over the past few weeks to try to salvage our seasons. We were holding out hope that we could put kids on the fields in mid-May, but with Governor’s Pritzker’s recent announcement extending the state’s stay-at-home rules through June, combined with other respected medical opinions advising continued restrictions to prevent a second wave of infections, we felt this decision was in everyone’s best interest.

This gives our community families some money back in their pocket. It reduces to the possibility of contracting this virus from our programs. It gives our families more flexibility to schedule and take their families on some much-needed vacations when these restrictions are finally lifted.

With that the bad news is out of the way, RYAA and the Village of Rochester will be looking at options to put kids on the fields when these restrictions are finally lifted. It’s obviously too early to make announcements yet, but we are looking at providing skills nights and camps, possibly some pickup games, and maybe a short league late in the season.
As events unfold and restrictions are lifted, we will let everyone know about the options that RYAA is able to offer. We hope everyone is staying safe during this trying time, and together we will get through this situation.
