RYAA has several sports programs for boys and girls from ages 3 to 14!

Boys Baseball and Co-Ed Teeball
Baseball: Teeball (ages 5 and 6), 8U (ages 8 and under), 10U (ages 10 and under), 12U (ages 12 and under), 14U (ages 14 and )
Registration: starts January 1 and ends March 1. A late fee applies for registrations after February 15th.
Games: are played in May and June
-Teeball and 8U games are held in Rochester and Mechanicsburg.
- 10U, 12U and 14U baseball play in the local leagues, games are in Rochester, Springfield, and the surrounding area.
All players are required to have their own glove. Bats, balls, helmets and other equipment will be provided. Each player will receive a jersey and hat with registration. Pants, cleats, belts, and socks are not provided.

Girls Softball
Divisions: 8U (ages 8 and under), 10U (ages 10 and under), 12U (ages 12 and under), 14U (ages 14 and under)

Softball plays in the Riverton league, games are played in Rochester, Riverton, Ashland, Petersburg and Athens.

Boys and Girls Basketball
Divisions: Grades K-2, 3-4, 5-6
Registration opens by late September and ends November 15th. The late registration period is November 16th through November 30th. A $20 late fee is added registrations after November 15th.
Practices start in December. An eight-week season is played on Saturdays in January through early March.
Grade K-2 teams play in Rochester Elementary K-2 building gym.
Grade 3-4 and 5-6 teams play in Rochester Elementary 2-3 building gym.
RYAA partners with Tri-City for the basketball program. Some games are played at Tri-City facilities.
All players should wear non-marring shoes.
All players will receive a team shirt.

Co-Ed Soccer (Spring and Fall)
Divisions: Ages 3-4, Ages 5-6, Ages 7-8
Registration for Spring soccer starts January 15 and ends March 15. Games/practices will start the first week of April.
Registration for Fall soccer starts July 1st and ends August 15th.
Soccer for 3 and 4 year olds will play on Tuesdays at 5:45pm. They will practice for a half hour, then play 4 - 7 minute quarters.
Soccer for 5 and 6 year olds will play on Thursdays at 5:45pm. They will practice for a half hour, then play 4 - 10 minute quarters.
Soccer for 7 and 8 year olds will play on Wednesdays at 5:45pm. They will practice for a half hour, then play 4 - 10 minute quarters.
Games will be played on the fields on the north end of Rochester Community Park.
All players are required to have shin guards for all practices and games! Cleats are optional. All players will receive a team shirt.

Co-Ed Indoor Volleyball
Divisions: Grades 2-3, 4-5,6-8
Registration starts July 1st and ends September 15th. A late fee of $20 is added after September 1st.
All players should wear non-marring shoes.
Games are played in Rochester Elementary 2-3 building.
All players will receive a team shirt.

Co-Ed Indoor Spring Volleyball Clinic
Divisions: Grades K-2 & 3-5
Registration starts March 13th and ends April 6th.
This will be a 4-week volleyball skills clinic that will work on core volleyball fundamentals each week. The clinic will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and begin on April 21st and run through May 14th. Players will show off their skills in the second half of each session with live play.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade will be Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 and 3rd grade through 5th grade will be Thursdays from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
All players should wear non-marring shoes and kneepads. They should also bring a water bottle (one that will not spill if knocked over please!)
Practice times will be as follows:
Tuesdays 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM K-2nd Grade
Thursdays 5:30 PM- 6:30 PM 3rd - 5th Grade
additional time slots may be created based on registration numbers
Clinics will be in the Rochester Elementary 2-3 building according to grade level.

Co-Ed Wrestling
Wrestling program for boys and girls ages 4 to 14 (pre-K-8th).
Membership with the RWC (Rochester Wrestling Club) as well as with the IKWF (Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation).
Registration starts Oct.1st. A late fee is added after November 1st.
All wrestlers will receive a team warm-up shirt and fight shorts.
Must provide own wrestling shoes and headgear.
Practices will be held at the Rochester Junior High Wrestling Room.
Tournaments are optional and require an additional fee hosted by other surrounding clubs.
Cheer
Registration opens February 1st and closes April 15th.
Cheerleaders entering 3rd grade through 8th grade for the 2025/2026 school year will be eligible to register. This year, our squads will cheer for their grade level at the Rochester JFL games. Coaches will be able to communicate directly with the football coaches which should improve some communication issues experienced last year. Some travel will be required.
Practices will begin in July 2025 and will be 1-2 days per week depending on your coach’s schedule. Schedule conflicts will be collected and reviewed prior to practices schedules being made available mid-May. If your schedule will not work with the practices schedule, you will be allowed to cancel your registration. You will receive a full refund if cancelled before May 31, 2025.
A kickoff meeting will be held at the beginning of May where measurements will be taken for uniforms. You will have the option to purchase a gently used uniform or order a Bow-to-Toe package. The Bow-to-Toe Package includes a shell and skirt, crop top, briefs, warmups, shoes, poms, bow, and bag and will be approximately $230. Al la cart prices will be available at the kick off meeting.
If you purchase a gently used uniform, but need a few pieces, you can purchase individual pieces to complete the look. All orders must be placed and paid for by May 31st, 2025.
Games will begin mid-August and run through mid-October.
