Field Fees and Rules

RYAA is responsible for scheduling activity at Rochester Community Park ball diamonds. Outside teams are welcome to register and use the diamonds when the schedule permits.

Diamonds are scheduled with the following priority:
  1. Rochester School District teams
  2. RYAA teams
  3. RCB teams
  4. Rochester-based competitive teams
  5. Outside competitive teams
Please note, a higher priority team MAY BUMP a team if the need arises. We will attempt to move a bumped team to another field if possible before cancelling a practice/game.

Outside Team Scheduling at Rochester Park
Outside teams must first register with the Village of Rochester before use of Rochester Community Park fields.

The COACH of outside teams (not parents of players) must provide proof on team insurance to the village and submit a $75 registration fee (this fee is for 1 year of park use).

Following confirmation of insurance and registration, teams may contact RYAA for scheduling field time via email at [email protected].

All teams, coaches, players and parents are expected to abide by the RYAA Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by these conditions can result in a team losing scheduling privileges.

Rochester Village Hall is located at 1 Community Drive, Rochester, IL 62563.

Why is there a cost to use a public park?
RYAA provides substantial financial resources to the maintenance of Rochester Community Park and fields, including (but not limited to) dirt, fertilizer/weed control, maintenance equipment, supplies and labor. These costs are not covered by taxpayer funds.

Rules:
  • Play all catch and complete all warm-up activities in the outfield grass.
  • Keep all gear off of the grass in front of the dugouts.
  • Stay off of the fields after they have been dragged and lined with chalk in preparation for a game.
  • Do not hit infield from the infield grass surface or grass surface around home plate or the dugouts.
  • Stay off of fields when wet or when under repair.
  • Do not hit soft toss into the park fencing
